Our Team

Kurt R. Olson, OD

Dr. Olson grew up in Oberlin, KS and graduated from Decatur Community High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Kansas State University. He then graduated in the top 10% of his class from Midwestern University/Arizona College of Optometry. He received extensive training in ocular pathology management during his time at Indian Health Services in Lawton, OK and the Veteran’s Health Administration in Newington, CT. He was one of 30 Kansas optometrists selected for the inaugural advanced procedures course in 2019. During that course he was certified to perform the most cutting edge procedures in the state.

Dr. Olson’s practice emphases are ocular pathology, primary eye care, and contact lenses. He also has expertise in ocular trauma and children’s vision.

Dr. Olson is a member of the American Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, Heart of America Contact Lens Society, and the Kansas Optometric Association.

In his personal life, faith and family come first. He enjoys spending time with his wife (Rachelle) and children (Ava, Frasier, and Maris). He also enjoys production agriculture, hunting, K-State sports, and classic cars.

Kendra L. Lowell, OD

Dr. Lowell was raised in Belleville, KS. She earned her Bachelors in Life Sciences from Kansas State University. Dr. Lowell attended Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Lowell was chosen by professors at NSUOCO to be the recipient of the clinical excellence award for outstanding patient care and was also presented the Lynn Cyert Award for Excellence in Pediatric Optometry. 

Dr. Lowell practices full scope comprehensive eye care with a special emphasis in myopia management, vision therapy, and pediatric eye care. 

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, and Kansas Optometric Association. 

In her free time, Dr. Lowell spends time at the lake, reading, and going to KSU sporting events with her husband, Trevor.

Stanley J. Nelson OD

Dr. Nelson retired in May 2020 after serving the Marysville community for 42 years. He and his wife Joyce are not leaving the town they call home anytime soon. Please join us in thanking Dr. Nelson his many years of quality eyecare to the area.
